It's Great To Be Eight

June was such a crazy month, but we managed to squeeze in my sweet Luke's birthday. Since we knew we were actually driving to Utah on his "real" birthday we had to celebrate it a few weeks before. He invited a few of his closest buddies and we headed to the pool to cool off. He requested pizza and a "baseball" style cake.

I had been asking Luke for weeks what he wanted for his big birthday and he was very specific. He only wanted a homemade tied quilt and a watch.

Because of the way baptisms were in our stake he had to wait almost a month after his birthday to get baptized. It was a very special day for our family. Talks were given by Uncle Dean and Grandma Dorothy. Following we had a yummy spread of homemade Thai food, eggrolls, chicken and rice. It was delicious!

We are so proud of Luke and his decision on getting baptized. He even read the ENTIRE Book of Mormon before he turned 8 this year. He is such an example to our family and a great kid. He has a lot of ambition and a very hard worker at what ever he does. We love you Lukie!!
