self timer didn't work so well this timeAs much as I look forward to getting away with Doug for a few days, I couldn't help but get a little teary today. This is the first time in 10 years we have EVER left our kids. I know they will be in the best hands, I just hope my kids don't put her into labor! I told Angie she wasn't allowed to have the baby until Monday. I can honestly say the best part of the day is the morning and evening when my kids give me hugs and kisses. Last night I couldn't squeeze them enough or this morning for that matter. I love you Taylor, Jared, Luke and Weston. Mind you P's and Q's and I will see you Sunday! All my love, mom.

Hope you two have tons of fun. I've never left my boys either, but Jackson is just almost 5, so you are double our time. It seems like they are in the best of hands. Hey-I wonder how many times you guys talk about your kids while you're gone. That's usually all we do when we are just out on a date. Ha!

I think you'll find that the kids don't miss you a bit. Saying good-bye is the hardest but I'm always fine the second we're out of sight. I know you'll have a great time and you'll want to plan a get-away at least once a year!

I have those same worries, I think it's worse because we don't hardly ever get away either (like one time away from everyone but Tyler 2 years ago).

I am so sad I couldn't come to the get together tonight! I hope you are having a fun night. With 2 kids sick and Jason couldn't commit to a time when he could come home from work I knew it wasn't going to work out for me. Have a great time.

Just a quick note to say the kids are fine. They are having fun and I never realized how loud all seven of them can be when they are all in the same space. We even all squished in the van and drove out to the check on the house. That was a sight and sound I haven't experienced in a while. Have fun and know we are taking care of them and no one has been spanked are punished yet. hehehe
