1. It's FINALLY cooling off in AZ. People are now walking their dogs, riding bikes and taking strolls outside. The kids are now able to walk home without dying of heat exhaustion. Yay!! I'll admit I am a little sad that the monsoon season is over. Long gone are the heavy clouds that roll in, the thunder, lightening and these lovely rainbows. I took this while we were up at the cabin a few weeks ago. (hence the A-framed window).2. Taylor is enrolled in three dance classes which consumes her entire Thursday after school. I opted to trek her into Mesa just so that she would be able to go to a "good" studio. People have their different opinions on what "good" is, but for me I prefer the technique side to be good. Plus she has some of the same instructors I did as a youth along with a few of my friends teaching the classes there. Her favorite class is hip/hop. This doesn't at all surprise me and she LOVES her teacher (House). The bummer part is his dance crew is in the process of trying to make it onto the Randy Jackson's Best Dance Crew. This is a great opportunity for him, but means that if they make the cut he will no longer be able to teach and choreograph at the studio.

3. The other day I couldn't help notice this piano at Claudia's house (she does my nails). I asked her if she played and she said she used to but is looking to sell it. My ears immediately perked up when "sell" came out of her mouth. I know nothing about pianos, but we have been wanting to start our kids with lessons. She is selling it for a little higher than the price of a keyboard. (like the ones at Costco) After talking to a few people, they said I would be crazy not to take it, it's a steal! We are still weighing the idea or deciphering between this or a piece of furniture. But, isn't it beautiful?
4. Little League has been a little different this season. Last spring the games tended to be on the more exciting side due to having it machine pitch. Jared has now bumped up into the "kid pitch" age, which DRAGS on and on. I know they have to learn at some point, but 2 hour games? Seriously, it's painful especially when some games start at 7:30pm. Did I mention these are on school nights?
5. It seems along with blogger another craze besides my-space is going around. One of my friends briefly told me about facebook a few weeks ago and since then I have found TONS of people from high school not to mention people I haven't thought about for years. Who needs a reunion when you can find them online? Crazy. Have you gotten on?

I vote for the piano!!!!!! My kids don't play as well as I would wish but it does make a difference in your home - I always go back for lessons "in my spare time" but of course now in London I don't have my beloved piano now.
I did a facebook too - my reunion was in August and EVERYONE is on it. But it isn't the same as blogger - it's very open so I do it, but not like this....but it is fun - give it a try :)
Oh fall and winters are so nice in AZ.. But the summers are way to hot for me.........
It was been warm here. Today it is in the 90s... That is so crazy..... I want it to be in the 70s. I am ready for fall.....
Facebook is so much fun.
I can SO relate to the loooong kid pitch games! That is what we experienced for the first time this summer. The pic. of the piano isn't showing up - but I bet it is a good one!
We got our piano in E. Mesa, bought it second hand from some individuals we found in the paper.
And you know, I just found Facebook myself - as you know - because I added you. I've been doing some reconnecting of my own! Fun!
Go for the piano! Your kids will outgrow a keyboard, a keyboard will lose its value, but pianos are forever!
I TOTALLY vote for the piano!!!!! It is so nice looking. Is it an upright grand? Jason's parents have one and it is ancient and still sounds beautiful. It sounds like a steal. I would pounce before she mentions it to someone else.
I'm not really into facebook. Not quite the same as blogging.
What a great piano. I took lessons from the time I was 8 until I was 14 and I cant play a note now, I wish I had kept up on it. I hope I can get my kids to take lessons starting in a few years.
My whole family and even my husband is on facebook. I'll eventually catch up.
i love your "five for fridays"! i love that picture of taylor.
and facebook is kind of cool...my favorite feature is facebook chatting with whoever is online. although i basically only chat with whichever of my siblings are on.
PIANO!!! Take the piano!
Go for it! Piano!!
Go
today
and
buy
that
piano!!!
That is the best deal ever!
Enjoy your cooler temps that are heading your way...
I think the piano is beautiful. Do you know what brand it is?
I have gotten on facebook, but I really don't use it much...it kind of scares me. Plus, I really have no interest in contacting most of the people I noticed on their from my HS. They are almost all complete losers, sad to say. The people I would be interested in contacting are not on there. Go figure.
Piano for sure!! I want one too...but our place is small and Brandon thinks we should just wait until we are in a bigger place. The problem with that is...it could be a long time and I would love for Noelle to start sometime this year or next.
Brandon and I love Randy Jackson's hip hop show! Those dancers ARE AMAZING!!! How incredible that Taylor can go to such fantastic instructors...definitely worth the drive!
Get the piano!! Right now. Drop whatever you are doing and got get that piano before someone else takes the steal. My mom just bought me a used piano from a store and it's not as nice as that one and it was more money.
I totally get the good dance studio. Alexis is only in ballet, but some days, all they do is technique. I love it.
I just joined facebook too! Well you already know that :). My sister has been harassing me for a year and I finally did. Why did I take so long? I found tons of long-lost friends from South America.
1. I LOVE RJ's Dance Crew show. We Tevo it and never miss it.
2. GET the piano. You will not regret it. It sounds like a great price and it looks really nice. I want one like that.
Fun to catch up with you. Taylor looks too cute. So she is following her dancing mama's footsteps! Awesome.
I need to get on facebook, but I'm hesitant. I want to find people, but I don't want people to find me. Does that make sense. And heck yeah, go for the piano!
The piano is beautiful. I definitely agree that you should get it.
So funny that you liked machine pitch but kid-pitch drags. I'm the exact opposite. Machine pitch was painful to watch because the machine took FOREVER to load. And every kid got five pitches. The kid-pitch moves so much faster for us.
I didn't realize that Claudia actually wants to sell the piano to you-awesome! I thought you just liked hers!
I can't believe how late Jared's games are! I would love to go to one of them with you-let me know when you are going!
You crack me up with facebook-that is how I used to be with my space!!!:)
The piano! Hands down missy! What a great investment, not only the piano, but in your kids musical talents! Of course, this is coming from a piano teacher!
You better have already bought that piano. It is gorgeous and completely necessary. Make the call.
