I swore we would never do it again, (never say never) but taking a year off perhaps softened my heart and we are once again playing tackle football. It seems as though Texas football would have been a much better league. Not so. Remember our non touch down never get a 1st down season? Afterall isn't that was Texas is all about? I know for certain we totally were in the wrong league at the time. So, once again we start new and fresh and we are already pleased with the results. Jared's coach for starters is SUPER organized not to mention is awesome with these boys.
Today Jared started his 2nd week of conditioning and full pads. One thing about Jared is you can put him in any sport and he thrives on it. In order to prepare for 2.5 hours of practice (4 days a week)..........
1). You must, fuel the body with none other than a bowl of cinnamon life of course--nothing better! (sometimes 2 if necessary).
2). Then you must get your HUGE thing of ice water. Arizona tends to be a little on the toasty side (100 degrees that is) Oh, and don't forget your helmet, jersey, and pads.
3). In order to not have to run a lap or two, punctuality is also a must. 6 o'clock sharp or else!
4) Have a great attitude! (or get embarrased by mom making you smile right before practice--you choose).
5). Practice hard for two hours
Jason and Jared
Happy to be picked up and accomplished yet another day of training! Oh, ya and don't forget your carpool buddy Jason. Tomorrow start the process all over again.

Jenny! We are in the thick of football, too! Those practices are HOT ... sweaty bodies, sweaty football helmet heads .... you gotta love it. Hayden does! And you know what? I think Tyler loves it just as much!:)
Jenny, I sent you an email with baby pics, but I am worried I have the wrong address for you. Will you please send me your new one? I think you already did this, but for some reason, I don't have it. Thanks!
Go, Jared!!! Good luck this season!
We are doing it too! It is a huge commitment. I'm hoping it's worth it, but if Seth's contentment and deep sleep every night (they work them hard!) are any indication, it will be.
Just...so...much...time.
My husbands dream is that our son will love (and be good) and football.
I have no idea how they do it in the heat! I am miserable just thinking about it:)
Good luck to him! The thought of tackle football and those little boys makes my stomach hurt! Im sure he will do great! The coach sounds so MUCH better!
Oh Caleb would be so jealous! We don't have these kinds of opportunities around here. He's still stuck in flag football.
The time commitment is hard but I think watching your kids in sports is one of life's simple joys.
great pictures.. really they look awesome.. that would be so hard to practice in such hot weather!
