1). Guess what the cat dragged in around 1am last night? A mountain man? I don't think my husband went to a study course, but maybe ended up on a desolate island? Last I checked the Wal-mart in Maine carried razors. Apparently, he couldn't find that aisle. Ha. Doug has weird traditions such as going on the trauma service to grow facial hair. He used to do the same thing up at BYU before a test. He wouldn't shave until the day of (well he had to for standard reasons) Whatever works for good luck eh? This is the first time I have ever seen him grow a full beard. Remember his Halloween
costume? At this point I'll take any look I can get. I am tickled my man is home!

2). The kids had their last swimming meet of the season today. This is Taylor and Jared with coach Dan. Jared improved his time in each event by a few seconds, as did Taylor. Great job guys!

3) Since Doug has been home you know where the boys have flocked to? Not me! They can't seem to get enough of dad. Fabulous!

4) Taylor and Mackenzi met when they were 4 years old. So hard to believe how much time has passed. Look how sweet and innocent they looked. (not that they still aren't :) Today is Mackenzi's 10th Birthday. Happy Birthday Kenzi!! We love you like a daughter and hope you have a great day!

5) We are off to get some stuff prepared for are upcoming drive to Arizona, then to Red Robyn for dinner. Yummy!! I can't believe Sunday is already July. Doug takes his boards a week from Monday. Crazy!
good deed: Helped Doug do the yard.

I love your halloween costumes!!! Have a great weekend!
I like the beard a lot- so glad he made it home safe and sound!
Great post. It's so nice when dad returns! Have a great time on your outings today!
So glad Doug FINALLY made it home! What was his original time to be home? Are you all getting soaked? I know how those San Antonian love to drive through high water crossings. :)
Love the five for Friday idea!
I'm glad that Doug is back... even with his new facial hair addition.
Tell Doug good luck on his boards!
Fyi- I checked Taylor's blog last night at 11:30 and had music blasting all down the hall. Good heavens, that girl is so computer capable and grown up I can't believe it.
Glad he made it back safe. How fun to be with family on the 4th. I am happy to have some family here for all the festivities.
How long will you be here? Give me a ring if you have time ;) Janae
I can't believe you haven't ever seen Doug with a full beard. KInd of funny. Jimmy doesn't usually shave while on vacation either (or at home for that matter).
I always feel like we are all competing for Jimmy's attention when he gets home too. Nice that hte boys are giving you some breathing room.
Yeah for you that Doug is home! My kids are the same way, its all about dad when he is around. Have fun in AZ, the heat is going to be brutal.
I'm so glad the Mister finally made it home...I had no idea you were doing these last 2 weeks all by yourself. Pretty impressive!
Welcome home to Doug. Not a better way to wrap up swim team for the year than to shave seconds off. Doug should do the same as his kiddos. J/K Couldn't resist that one. How long are you going to AZ for? We're going in the middle of July.
Is he taking boards in Arizona? 13 days is a long time. Period. I'm glad he's home and sharing the love!:)
