Five For Friday

1. I was so happy that after 4 days of walking solo, Angie was able to join up with me again this morning. My boys missed Maryn as well and continued asking everyday where is Maryn? Is she sick? Is she going to school? It's definitely going to be tough not having them down the street in a few short months.

2. After reading this funny post by my friend Chanel. I have poop on the brain (or at least my house does) Luke has an interesting way of talking sometimes. He talks out of the side of his mouth. I have no idea where he got it. Doug claims that my dad does the same thing (sorry dad). Anyways, I was doing something in the kitchen the other day and Luke came in (doing his side talk) and said "MOM YOU HAVE TO COME HERE QUICK!" I told him I would be there in a minute and he replied with a NO, you have to come now and look what Jared did...... HE TOOK A POOP AND LEFT A MARK! You have to come and clean it right this minute--it's disgusting!! I could not stop laughing because he was so serious and of course exaggerated "the mark" in the toilet out of proportion hmmm I wonder where he gets this from? (I tend to say something is extremely messy when in reality it's not). Don't worry there is no documented image. Luckily a few flushes cured the issue and I cleaned it this morning just to make sure.

what do you think?

3. I went to Target the other day to pick up a wedding gift. I have been trying to avoiding Target and any stores for that matter. I tend to buy things that I don't really need and if I don't see it I can't buy it. I was reminded again after going to the checkout. Walking up and down the aisles I spotted this on the clearance rack. I am not sure if I am sold on it yet, hence the tags. But it was too cheap to pass up $16.00. Not to bad for a new dress-- the bummer part was the green shoes in my closet I thought matched are the wrong shade.

4. I drove Angie out to their new house since I haven't been out there in a while. Her house is coming along faster and faster each time I go out there! It looks so great now that the brick is up. I am not sure she would ever post it for fear she was bragging, but I will be happy to brag for her. It's a beautiful home and I am anxious to see it when it's all done. The kids were screaming in the car so we caved and took them to Mickey D's to play. I can't even remember the last time I have been there. The funny thing was Luke asked, are really going there? I guess he was pretty surprised we were actually going into play. Too funny.

San Antonio Temple

5. After Doug received his official "pass" on his boards the other day I decided it would be appropriate to go to the temple. I feel after months and months of prayer I feel we have been extremely blessed with a new job and now having Doug board certified. We have been so busy lately and who are we kidding life doesn't slow down unless you allow it too. I called and made our appointment Tuesday for this evening and we are going on a date. We had a goal to go at least once a month, tonight is a start.

Halloween package from Michelle

6. Okay so I broke the rules and added a #6. I couldn't forget to add in my good mail from Michelle A. She was so sweet and crocheted me these pumpkins and a few other goodies for Halloween. She has an amazing talent. I have them up already on a bookshelf. Thanks Michelle!

good deed: dropped off a bridal shower gift

P.S. Did anyone catch this last night? I couldn't stop laughing at the "Run for Rabies...." I think I may have to watch it again.

Yippee! Just catching up. The dress is adorable! The cornbread and chilli from Thursday look so yummy right now, and Taylor sounds like a dream!

I like your "life doesn't slow down unless we let it." We aren't letting it around here, and that's ok...for now.

Look at you and Angie all in Red, does the twinning ever end?

I think that is a cute dress, you wear that style much better than I do. I really like the springy colors in that one.

I want to see a picture of Angie's house, it sounds beautiful - I love brick!

Cute dress! Just where neutral sandals or camel colored sandals with it-they would go just find.

I just love all of the pics of the kiddos!

As long as Donna doesn't down a huge bowl of alfredo right before her race, I'm sure she will be fine! That was a great episode! Will you be making a rabies quilt?

I think that dress is very cute! So was your Michelle mail -- those pumpkins are adorable.

I think your Target dress is a great find. Very cute. I know what you mean about needing to avoid that store for the sake of your cash flow!

Yes, I quite enjoyed The Office the other night. Did you enjoy Grey's.

Okay Jenny--I am so out of it. What is Doug's new job? I love that you felt the desire to go to the temple because you felt so blessed.

As for the office--when he ran into Meredith right at the beginning of the show I thought I would fall off the couch I was so shocked and laughing so hard.

My satellite was down on Thursday night, so I missed The Office! Thanks for the reminder that I can find it online.

The dress is so cute! Do you have white sandals that could go with it? I love the pumpkins Michelle made you...darling! Ohhh, the lot we had talked about. Someone is building on it. I giess the plans are here in the office to do the roof. I had talked with Steve about it. There are quite a few homes though. Do you want me to do as search? :)

Oh, I loved the season premier of The Office!

I'm with you on avoiding stores. I'm trying to do the same, but it seems like "needs" come up so frequently (if I could be more organized about my shopping days this would be greatly reduced), that I end up at some store almost every day and all of those "wants" somehow end up n my cart. Speaking of, I should go make my shopping list for tomorrow. . .

Finally, congratulations on Doug's passing his exams. I'm so behind on your blog! Now that it's password protected it doesn't work on my RSS notifier, and I always forget. Of course, this is the first time I've commented on any blogs in almost a month. I hope when I get back into the swing of things I can be a frequenter of your blog again! Now, I'm going to lurk around your blog and do some catching up. It sounds like you've had lots going on in your life lately.
