I am not one to function on very little sleep and it's slowly catching up with me today. The first late night was Monday at Nicole's for bunco night. (okay so we forgot the game--but it was still super fun) I am so glad we started it!! Why we didn't several years ago I will never know. Anyways, we left her house around 12:30pm and as we were driving home we noticed some suspicious high schoolers roaming the streets. Where are their parents?? Anyways, Sara called the cops since they looked like they were up to nothing but trouble. We decided to be gutsy (4 girls in a car) and drive back by them just to see if they were spray painting or something. We have a serious problem in our neighborhood with it, it's terrible. Anyways, the next drive by we witnessed them trying to rip out the stop sign. Idiots! It didn't even phase them we were flashing headlights on them. We again called the police to tell them what we saw. We didn't hang around to see what happened, and quite honestly if we did another drive by we may have been spray painted or something.
Last night I was again up until past midnight. I decided to finish up some more projects to take home with me for Christmas. And we all know that mom's have to get things done with kids in bed. I got some stuff embroidered and then spent most of the time updating mine and Doug's ipod. I have become so incredibly sick of my running music I figured it was time to download some new stuff. This of course is always more time consuming than you think--but hey it's done and we have some new jams!
good deed: watched my friends kids while she went to the dentist
good deed: made Doug a new ipod mix

Don't you love the homemade warpaint?
He sang so loud and looks more like an elf--poor dude!
Today was Luke's Thanksgiving feast. It was so cute. The parents were responsible for putting them in pilgrim or Indian attire and they sang a few songs. Sadly, I didn't do so well again with the parent responsibility part. I sorta felt like I was having deja vu' with Luke's Fiesta float. All the parents had their children in full on outfits for the program. Oops. Who has a pilgrim outfit in their dressup box? Apparently I am the only person. Where do they get these?? And I wasn't about to make one, luckily they had an extra shirt to fill his Indian part. Looks like tonight we are in for another late one as well with with our concert. Details to follow..........He sang so loud and looks more like an elf--poor dude!

You were brave to go back with the teens on the prowl. My first thought was, "Don't tell me you got spraypaint on your car!"
Good for you for calling it in!
And cute kiddo's! I can't believe the T'giving feast was this week and not next! My dd's is next week.
Are you starting your own detective service. That was great that you guys called. You know kids that are roaming at that hour are only up to no good.
Love the video. He is darling. Where do you get a full on pilgrim costume? Your kids must have all of next week off. Emily's feast isn't until next Tuesday.
You are going to sleep big time on your drive to AZ. Try and get some rest.
Yes where are all the parents. Crazy!
The video is so cute :) I love Thanksgiving feast at school.
I need to updated my ipod as well.
I would have just made he hat if mine was assigned a pilgrim and maybe a paper back for the Indian. Crazy. I have to dress mine up like a sheperd next month.
Late nights are worth it when you are out with girlfriends.
I have to have a pilgrim costume for Colonial Days on Friday. Who has an adult pilgrim costume?
Cute bunco ladies pic, brave girl.
You are brave to drive back to see what those kids are up to. Why do they have to be such ding bats? I love your cute pink ipod. So very cute.
Your boys look so cute in those brown shirts. I feel the same way with the boys. Soo fast to get ready.
I had been waiting to see the Halloween costume unveiling and then my computer crashed. Man I had to go back a ways to get a look. Awesome! You all look great.
I hear ya with the late nights. I had bunko last night and didn't get home until 12:30-and, I was one of the 1st to leave.
Great video-Jefferson watched it a few times.
Those pilgrim costumes are so cute, but yeah... who has one of those just around the house?
I hope you get some sleep soon so you can be safe on the drive home!
I love late nights with the girls. Our book group keeps getting later and later but it is so much fun to hang out and talk. Have a great trip.
I love the video and the costumes are fabulous! So funny about the teenage hoodlums - I've been a night owl lately too and I shouldn't be! I'm so crabby! Well, hope you and I both get some shut-eye!!
THe streets of San Antonio are safe with you around! Good work for busting those thugs!
I am up that late all the time, but I do see that it takes a bigger toll the older I get! I am realizing that I definitely need more "beauty sleep!"
Updating the ipod - love this, but oh so time consuming. I just put some new running tunes on mine, too. Amazing how motivating this can be!
Good luck getting all your stuff done before your journey. Safe travels, Jenny, and Happy Thanksgiving!
Seriously, where do they get those costumes? I think you did just fine with Luke's.
All good reasons for staying up late. And why not, you'll have plenty of time to catch up on sleep while you're driving, right?
Your iPod is so cute.
Wow - those kids really are decked out as pilgrims and indians. Where do people come up with those costumes??
You have been busy! The bunko group looks like fun!!! You gals were brave to go check on the teenagers! Glad you called it in. Have fun at the conert!!! :)
Staying up late catches up with me so fast! Both my girls have their "thanksgiving feasts" today (luckily I don't have to come up with costumes, seriously, where did those moms find those???)
glad u didn't get hurt trying to "tell" on the hs kids. girls' nights out are so fun! your little video of Luke is so cute! i couldn't tell what they were singing, but it was still adorable. yah, i agree..where do they all get those outfits? i wouldn't have a pilgrim or indian costume.
I love that you called on those kids. They need someone to care about what they are up to, even if it's 4 crazy bunco girls! (: Did I already tell you that my friend, Sandy, is one of your Bunco girls?! Small world!
