This year has been a whirlwind for sure. Last night was Taylor's last strings concert. It's hard to believe she started "borrowing" this instrument over 8 months ago! The unfortunate part was I not only had to be at her concert at 7pm, but Jared had a baseball game at the very same time. Normally, this is somewhat feasible with the little help of dad. However, dad was in Florida so I borrowed my second daughter Mackenzi to accompany me. (thank goodness for friends!)
The concert didn't last longer than 15 minutes....phew! I was already on borrowed time and trying to juggle these little boys and keep them quiet held to be quite challenging. Once the concert was over I rushed everyone home (the boys were already for bed) The older girls watched Luke & Weston and I rushed off to root for Jared one last time. Go Royals!!
Jared lost his last game and was sorta bummed out about it. I told him he did his best and there was always next year. All and all it was a great season of Little League and I am so glad we chose to do it!

Somehow, I didn't know that Taylor was playing violin. That's great! Man, I am dreading the conflicting schedules. It's been really nice this year to not have my kids in anything. Cub Scouts, when it started a month ago, really threw a wrench in my uncomplicated schedule. But now, I can see the benefits of a few extracurricular activities.
Cute photo of jared and Maci. Isn't it fun to matchmake our kids with our best friends kids? If only the days of arranged marriages were still around. I could be permanently attached to some of my bestest friends.
I knew when Mackenzi said she took a picture with you last night that she would make your borrowed spt post. She had fun watching Taylor and seeing some of her old friends and sadly said it took hr a few minutes to remember their names. I can't believe they have grown from little girls to little ladies together and they will soon be seperated by many miles.
I am happy all of the extra overlapping activites will soon be over, but sad because that's when we were able to see each other. Thanks for saving me on many occasions with dance and softball.
Love that picture of J & M. I wonder what they will say about all of the pictures of them together, when they get older?
I hope she keeps up playing the violin. I can't tell you how many times I wanted to quit and my Mom would say NO. I am thankful for that know.
i'm glad to see how you manage your life with your kids and all their activities. i think with multiple kids it gets hard to juggle everything but you give me hope!
Yeah for Taylor! Do you think she'll keep it up? I stopped playing the violin and practicing around the time I turned 20, I am starting lessons again though! Yeah for little Mackenzi!
Hey, I 'borrowed' spare children today as well!
I love the borrowing friends children. That's awesome that you have that available to you. Very cute pics of Maci and Jared. That could be a card. :D
We are almost done with baseball ourselves. I think 3 or 4 more games. It's been fun. I can't believe another season has passed.
So sad you and Angie's families will be separated. What an awesome friendship you have!
very cute spt! i can't seem to get back into the groove! it's always so fun to go to those music concerts - the kids are always so cute!
the girls are darling at the game!
I totally agree with you that by the time the kids finally catch on for real the season is over. I'm glad this season was a good one for you.
That is great Taylor plays the violin... is she planning to keep it up?
Cute SPT.
lots of good "borrows" to help get you through! Yeah...so glad baseball season is OVER for the kiddos...on to the next crazy summer schedules!
What a fun post of borrowing, Jenny. I love the last photo, too. You do do multi-tasking very well.
