You would think having 2pm church I would have my kids dressed and ready in an ample amount of time. Afterall, I have practically the entire day, but nope I don't. I do start trying to get them moving around noon, but then lunch comes into play, they lolly gag around, (are mine the only ones that do this??) etc. On most Sunday's we have been taking separate cars because Doug now has to be there to make sure they have enough boys to pass the sacrament. I had intentions of leaving about 15 minutes early in order to get a bench seat. I wanted at least a place in the chapel I could see my littles faces for the program. I have found these are hard to come by in our ward. I wasn't quite ready so Doug agreed to take the kids to save a seat. He had the kids loaded and me being, well me said "WAIT DON'T LEAVE....I need a photo!"
D: (Grumbling).....A photo, why? We need to leave.
J: Today is the primary program.
D: Can't you just take it after church?
J: No, they will all be undressed...not to mention ragamuffins. (plus this is Taylor's last one *sniff, sniff*)
D: Kids get out of the car, your mom needs a photo!
So, just for me he unloaded them and I snapped this. I know it sounds silly, but for the past 2 years I have taken one right before church and I kinda like it. So, thanks honey for putting up with my crazy ways and "must haves." (maybe a SLR for Christmas too) Love you babe. Oh, and by the way the program was so good! Of course the primary program is one of my favorite sacrament meetings.

Your kids look so cute! I had to laugh about stopping them, and having them all get back out of the car. That sounds just like something that would happen at this house.
Don't feel to bad about running behind on Sunday. I think we usually have 2-3 cars in the church parking lot each Sunday. Not a good sign, that everyone is ready at the same time. We are working on it though. :)
The kids look great! I HONESTLY think it is easier to get to 9am church than any other time.
Our primary program is in three weeks and I will have to remember to get a picture. That is a great tradition!
I think it is so fun that you guys are such fans and make it to so many game!!
You and your cute fam! I'm so glad you took this picture. I agree with Becca's comment...9 am church is the easiest to get to!
oh what cute kids you have and how sweet of them to get out of the car for you, so you could take a picture.. Mine kids wouldn't have done that at all.... They would of stayed in the CAR..
I am impressed at how good they all look! I struggle with just 2 kids sometimes.
By the way, I think Chet would have done more than grumble if I asked him to get all the kids out of the car for a picture! :)
Great photo!
Doug is such a good sport. :)
Jenny, I love love the curtains, the fact that you did them with friends and got them done so quickly, and that you love to take photos of the kids before church. Awesome.
They look fantastic! I hear you - it seems no matter what time you have church it's hard to get there on-time. I wonder why that is? I can't believe you have your program so early - in our old ward we wouldn't have it until late October, I think last year was November!!!
They do look cute. I hate to be late, though, so I know promptness would usurp cute picture. I gotta have me a bench!:)
I can't believe this will be Taylor's last program. You guys are all so grown up!
Totally worth getting out of the car. I really hate being late but you'll always have the picture to remind you have they looked on that very day.
Love the tradition of the photo and that even through grumbles, Doug helped the cause! Posterity thanks both of you.
I love that tradition. Might have to start doing it myself!
